Mexican Brownies

Most everyone already knows that we recently took a trip to Mexico - specifically Cancun. This was NOT our first trip to leave the country, but it was our first time to go south of the border. We packed one suitcase and a duffle bag for all 4 of us and headed off. I was shocked to get off the plane in Cancun and head through customs. As we stood in line, we quickly discovered how light we had packed. We saw a family about the same size as ours - 2 parents with kids about the same age, maybe a little younger. Everyone in our family had one bag each (I had packed a bag with some traveling activities and Marshmallow's backpack had some snacks leftover after having eaten the sandwiches before leaving the US). The other family had mom pushing the youngest in the stroller with several bags on the top of it, older child carrying a bag and dad pushing a cart filled so high with suitcases that he could barely see over the top! I thought they were over packed, but I began to wonder if maybe we were a little under-packed. (Of course, they could have been going for a really LONG visit, but still, most of the people going through had several suitcases per person.)

After checking into our hotel, we had a late night snack and went to bed. The following morning we woke up to this:

Following breakfasting  we began our adventures in the ocean! Turtle and Marshmallow had life jackets and we couldn't get them out of the ocean...

Except for building sand castles, collecting seaweed and making seaweed castles...

Marshmallow LOVED the seaweed!

We managed to get out of the ocean long enough to play in the pools too.

And at the end of the day, the view was awesome! And Marshmallow was excited for all of the coconuts she saw.

Beginnings

Once upon a time, there was a family. This family was an odd sort of family for it consisted of two parents: Sugar Daddy and Chocolate Donut, and two little brownies: a boy named Turtle and a girl named Marshmallow. This is a blog about them and their adventures in the world of Brownieville. And as is common with brownies, nuttiness is frequently inevitable!
